Our family has this great thing called,
The Woodward Family Cookbook
It pretty much saves lives when you need to find a delicious recipe really fast.

Today our family is going to Jessica and Ryan's housewarming party and my mom told me and my adorable little sister to make cookies.

My dad wanted chocolate chip oatmeal cookies,
so we turned to the family cookbook
and we were not disappointed.

Thanks Aunt Luann for a delicious recipe :)

Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
Aunt Luann
The only cookies we ever make (almost)

1 c. shortening
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar

1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs

1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt

3 c. oatmeal
1 pkg. chocolate chips
1/2 c. nuts (optional)

Cream together shortening, brown and white sugar.  Then beat in eggs and vanilla.  Sift together flour, soda and salt, then add it to creamed mixture.  Add oatmeal, chocolate chips and nuts.  Bake at 375 for 7-10 minutes.

*Try raisins instead of chocolate chips.
